On Thursday 20th September 2018, HRH The Countess of Wessex visited Aspire Ryde, a community charity that welcomes and supports over 1000 people a week through its various groups & activities . The disused Grade II listed Church was transformed, with the help of volunteers, to become a bustling community centre. Last year, Aspire’s volunteers were recognised for their outstanding community work when they received The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
The Countess then went on to visit the Greenhouse factory at Liz Earle’s headquarters, to discuss the skincare company’s sustainable approach to production
Finally, HRH made her way to Fishbourne where she officially launched Wightlink’s ‘Victoria of Wight’. On her arrival, HRH was greeted by children from Wootton Primary School, Binstead Primary School and the Royal Victoria Yacht Club.
